The range can be from a single station wired phone, a single station cordless, to a multi-station stand alone, or a multi-station cordless. Phones that can be used throughout the residence as portable phones and intercoms. The range of equipment available governed only by need and expenditure.

Your individual need for home or business may require multi-line and multi-station telephones. Your requirements may reach further to conferencing, intercom, toll restriction, mailboxes and much more, all available depending on choice of systems.

Your day may require moving around and use of both hands, then your interests would lead to hands free equipment. Portable telephones with headsets, will allow you all the capabilities indicated with your single and multi unit systems.

Your concerns may be, what if I lose my telephone lines, how does my alarm go to the central station? How do I communicate with the outside world? There is cellular backup equipment available that will activate during a telephone line failure and depending on equipment costs, will service just the alarm control equipment, or change any touchtone telephone to cellular. In addition there is radio link, which will only serve to transmit signals. If a less expense method would be preferred, at least enclose your telephone line in rigid pipe, or bring it into the building underground during new construction.
